The 75th IMESA Conference and Golden Jubilee was celebrated in Gauteng from 26th to 28th October 2011, with Northern Provinces as the host province. The theme “yesterday, today and tomorrow” was carried through by looking back at the achievements of the past, marking the moment in time at the conference, and then planning and looking forward to the future of municipal engineering in Southern Africa.

This conference brought together IFME members, past presidents of IMESA, everyone who is currently associated with IMESA, as well as Mayors, Councillors and anyone who has participated, currently participates and those who wish to engage in this market into the future.

The IMESA Conference was held at Birchwood, near to OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg, which accommodated the vast spectrum of interaction from keynotes and high level presentations and debate, to relaxed interaction during the breaks and free periods as well as the special gala event over the days of the conference.
